It’s hard to tell whether Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is going to be big or not. On the one hand, the upcoming Ubisoft adventure is based on one of the biggest movie franchises on the planet (at least when it comes to Box Office results, anyway). On the other, well, it largely looks like a Far Cry reskin if we’re being honest.
Nevertheless, PlayStation is putting its marketing muscle behind this title, so here’s your obligatory reminder that there will be PS5 exclusive features in the game. First and foremost, the release will feature 3D audio, allowing you to physically immerse yourself in the world of Pandora. And secondly, it’ll take advantage of all the DualSense’s bells and whistles, including its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
There are few surprises here, really: you’ll feel the tension of bow strings and the ripple of explosions. It’s always good to see third-parties going the extra mile to implement these features, though, as not every publisher bothers. If you’d like to know more about what it feels like to actually play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you can check out our preview from earlier in the year through here.

The movie was boring and way too long. I don't really wait for the game.
The movies are amazing and action packed. I can't wait for this game to be released!
Genuinely got bored recently of the samey Far Cry games so this might end up the refreshing kick up the backside Far Cry needs. Avatar combined with Far Cry might = a long overdue refreshing Far Cry game for once?. Don't think much of the Avatar movies overall but I do weirdly enjoy watching them on physical 4K, both look so good on physical 4K
Far Cry games are my guilty pleasure and I like the Avatar universe. Yeah, this one's for me, looking forward to it.
I obviously see why people think of Far Cry but I just find it ironic that it's not the FC devs that are behind it. It's the Division studio.
For bettet or worse is still looks a lot like Far Cry reskin to me. That being said it can still be a good game. It will be intresting to see what massive have come up with.I dont have too high expectations.
Really wished this was 3rd person.
It went gold today. Can’t wait!
Can we really call 3D Audio a PS5 Exclusive feature, though?
Heck even the PS4 had the capability to enable it - assuming you bought Sony's Platinum Headset, that is.
